Hey, happy summer. It's Owen Strand. I'm back. Except right now, grace and truth is on a short summer break. There's a lot going on in my life. My family is moving from one state to another, and we may even be enjoying just a few days of this summer. And so this episode is one we have run previously, but it's one that our audience, my audience has responded to very

strongly. And so we're representing it to you in hopes that it will be a blessing in some small way

2024, you may have seen this ad from a Christian organization of some kind. I don't know

much about it, but the ad campaign they have run now for a number of months is entitled,

as many of you know, he gets us.

And that's a reference to Jesus understanding the human condition.

Jesus becoming like us as a man, leaving the glories of fellowship with the father in the celestial realm,

and coming to earth,ate being born and living life

as the god man fully god fully man truly god truly man and then doing ministry for about three years

and dying on a cross resurrecting and ascending to the father's right hand for us he gets us has

caused a great deal of conversation since this ad campaign began running. I

haven't really talked about it on this podcast because I've just mostly been watching where

he gets us goes. And I have seen some things that I agree with and I've seen some things I

disagree with. After this Super Bowl ad ran, I decided it was time,
