Summary

After the economic crash back in 2008/2009 many of us in the mortgage industry lost a lot, if not everything. Is that true for you?

Rayce Robinson, one of the leaders in The Freedom Club, had that same experience. Not only was it trying on his finances, but as we come to find out in this interview, it was also trying on his relationships.

So how is it that Rayce, who seemingly "lost it all" has been able to stand tall, rebuild, and find major success as a Mortgage Broker in Florida? On this episode of Loan Officer Freedom, the #1 podcast for loan officers, I'm talking to my very dear friend Rayce Robinson to hear and share his story. It's a story that many of us can relate to and draw inspiration from.

If you want to know how he was able to go from loosing his home and investment properties and be on the verge of switching industries completely to rebuilding his business, paying off his mortgage on his new home, and earning nearly $500,000 per year without working nights and weekends listen to this episode of Loan Officer Freedom.

that that race has been a part of and one of the leaders in for probably the last I don't know what

0:34.7

you think six years seven years something like that, race.

0:45.4

Probably joined 13 or 14 somewhere in that. Yeah. So, so Race Robinson, race is a mortgage broker in the Orlando area. And are you actually in Orlando? Outskirts of Orlando in a place called

0:52.8

Oviedo. Okay, I know what I know.

0:54.7

Central Florida, what we call it. So, uh, race has a very interesting story and he is kind enough

1:03.0

and transparent enough and confident enough to be able to share this story today. And I thought,

1:10.5

you know, there's somebody

1:11.2

out there this listening that could really, that this will really speak to today. So I'm, I'm,

1:19.5

race probably when we name this episode, we might name it something different, but right now,

1:25.1

the rags to riches or small town boy makes good, those both

1:31.5

would identify who you are as a person. So let's start with first, like, how long have you

1:38.3

been doing this, race? Doing the mortgage business in 2001, I believe.

1:45.0

Okay. And then race and I are, so race is located probably about, I don't know, an hour and a half east of me.

1:53.0

I'm here in the Tampa Bay area. And race and I in 2008 and 2009 before we met, but at the same time when the housing bubble crashed in,

2:08.9

there probably wasn't a worse place to be at that time than in the Florida market,

2:14.5

particularly the Orlando and the Tampa market, probably in the Miami

2:18.0

market, I'm sure it was equally as bad. It was just devastating. It was pretty terrible.

2:23.6

It was devastating. And so what was that like? So we're going to talk about where you were,
