So, you know, we talk a lot around these parts about people that do bad things, right?

It's the name of the show, Deviant.

We talk a lot about criminals on Deviant on our Tuesday show and on our Friday show too, right?

We talk to people who have a lot of experience dealing with people who live outside of society's boundaries, outside the norm of what I think we are all

used to when it comes to other human beings, the people we share the world with. But what if I told

you we had a conversation with someone who had done bad things and then had made at some point

in their life had made the decision to turn all of that around and make amends.

And that is the crux of our conversation today.

We're going to talk to a guy by the name of Iran Nazario.

And Iran has a really fascinating story.

And that is because for a long time, he spent his life on the other side of the line, the line that we all talk about, the line of what is normal.

And Iran committed some crimes. He did some bad things. And he'll be the first to tell you about it.

But the other thing that Iran has done is that he made the decision that he needed to change.

And he has since made that change.

And after spending a large portion of his life in and out of jail and in prison, he's doing

things on the other side of that line now.

And he is the head of a group called the Peace Center of

Connecticut. And in his home state of Connecticut, he has dedicated his life since making that

decision to making the world around him better. And it's really a fascinating conversation

because, you know, we spend so much time talking about the bad things people do.

And Iran is a perfect example of some of the people that make the decision to change.

So here it is our conversation with Iran Nazario and his story.
