How did your real estate career start?

Man, through desperation.

You know, sometimes being young and naive and being a little foolish is just such a gift,

isn't it?

Yeah.

There's so many things I would have never started if I knew how hard it was.

It's a gift of like, just not even, because if you did the statistics of real estate or doing your

own thing you probably wouldn't start and and I think that would be such a travesty for so many people

um because you don't have to be a statistic right you're in control of your own destiny for me um again I said, my mom was the first lighthouse. I started

cutting and selling firewood in high school. And I started buying wrecked cars, fixing them up and

selling them. My time I was out of high school, that's what I was doing. And then when I was

17 years old, they got into my first real estate deal with no money down.

And I just, I just always, people said, hey, if you don't have money, you can get into real estate with no money down.

I had no clue what that meant.

There was, I'm old enough that there was an infomercial on TV with a guy named Carlton Sheets and he always never bought his program, but it was the no money down real estate offer.

And I'm like like what does that

mean so i i i'll just go a little detail because you have people that yeah understand real estate

so at 17 or 18 years old i just knocked on a gazillion doors of houses for sale like physically

knocked like i'd find a house for sale and i'd go meet the people and say if it's not selling

and i just try to make deals with all of them, if they would hold the mortgage, if they would lease with the option to buy.

And I just got so many knows.

I'm just trying to figure it out.
