Summary
Families are messy, aren’t they? One of the reasons I love the bible so much is that we get to see the messy side of all the characters …. Including bad parenting. God included these accounts so that we can learn lessons from these real people—lessons about the use of trickery, favoritism in families, deciding to run ahead of God, misunderstanding what God is doing, parental manipulation and more. We can take so many good things away from the parenting mistakes that were made by Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! God redeems our messes when we offer them to Him. SHOW NOTES
