If you've spent any significant amount of time online,

or of late, phenomenons like Brat Summer which briefly turned the entire internet a shade of green.

These inside jokes spread rapidly in the form of tweakable videos, images or phrases dominate

certain sections of internet culture

but increasingly they're being used politically

whether that be as a means of criticizing politicians or figureheads themselves

using them to boost their campaigns. Can they actually tip

elections though and how much political clout do they really have? I'm Jacob Jarvis

and joining me to discuss their political impact is Paolo Jobaldo, he is a senior research

fellow at the Complitence University in Madrid, and the author of several books including
