Today’s the day! The line-up for films for this year’s Frightfest has been released, so Mike sat down with festival director and co-founder Paul McEvoy to get the lowdown on what to expect from this year’s fest.

Some of the biggies he recommended include: Come To Daddy, A Good Woman Is Hard To Find, Crawl, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark, Nekrotronic, Ready Or Not, Freaks, Here Comes Hell, Rabid, Knives & Skin, The Deeper You Dig, Porno, Tales From The Lodge and Dario Argento’s Tenebrae (with Dario there to introduce!!)

0:22.8	Now usually on this podcast we explore and dissect the evolution of the horror genre

0:48.0	one of which, one of the biggies is of course the UK's biggest horror festival that happens in August every year
0:55.6	Fright Fest. Now I'm sure many of you who listen to this podcast,
0:59.9	particularly UK-based listeners are familiar with Frightfest. I'm sure many of you
1:04.4	have been before. It is an extravaganza of all things horror and genre movies.
1:10.4	Five back-to-back days This year it's the 22nd of August and it ends on the 26th of August
1:17.3	non-stop horror movies. It's really good fun and if you were considering going for the first time I think this year
1:23.7	would be the perfect time to do it because Freightfest will be celebrating their
1:28.0	20th anniversary so it's the 20th festival this year which means I think there are going to be extra special treats to enjoy
1:35.7	Not only that I'm going to be there as well as a whole bunch of other evolution of horror
1:39.7	Contributors and evolution of horror listeners members of the Facebook group, a whole bunch of us
1:45.2	will be going. So not only do you get to watch really interesting new horror films back to back
1:49.6	across five days, you also get to hang out and drink and have fun with us. So this
1:54.8	Saturday 6th of July at midday is when tickets go on sale. You can get yourself
2:00.1	tickets to individual films, you can get yourself tickets for a whole day so you
