And this week we're talking about the 2009 film Friday the 13th, directed by Marcus Nispell, written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, and starring Jared Padalecki,

Danielle Pana Baker, and Derek Mears. In this reboot, Jason goes back to his roots to Crystal

Lake to terrorize some unlikable co-eds. If you're new to our show, we're going to have a

spoiler-free discussion for the

first 10 to 15 minutes. Then we'll take a quick break. You'll hear a little bit of music. And then

we'll come back. We'll go through the plots, the spoilers, and give it our review. And this is a

pretty big episode for Brian and I today for two reasons. One, it is our seven year anniversary

of the podcast. So happy anniversary, Brian. Happy anniversary to you, buddy. Can you believe

it's been seven years of us doing this? I can't believe you haven't quit yet.

I know. I think about that every day. Yeah, I can't believe we made it this far.

This is something.

I mean, seven years, I think that's longer than most jobs I've had.

Yeah, it's crazy, and it's crazy because it coincides with us.

I feel like it was pretty new into the podcast just a few weeks in that we were, we covered

Friday the 13th because there was a Friday the 13th coming and we were like, let's do this every time there's a Friday the 13th.

And we thought, shit, it'll take us seven years to get through it.

We probably won't even have a podcast for that long.
