On this date in TV history, 10 years ago today, my favorite show of all time

Breaking Bad aired its series finale the last one I remember watching it like it was

yesterday Ali and I in our old apartment in West Hollywood and now exactly 10 years later to the day

it's my series finale. Okay, we's go.

We always start with the top story.

I feel like a broken record here, but again, the pending government shutdown is still that top story.

Unless some type of miracle happens in the next two days.

The federal government will shut down.

For the first time in about five years,

federal employees were notified yesterday

that a shutdown appears imminent.

The reason for it is that members of Congress can't get on the same page about federal

spending.

That's the issue.

If they can't figure it out before Saturday night when that clock strikes 12.01 Sunday

morning, the shutdown will officially be in effect.
