Things are not going well at the big global climate talks and apparently you don't want to make an octopus angry I'll explain

Let's get you caught up with today's seven stories.

Number one, talks at the United Nations Climate Summit in Egypt have broken down.

COP27 is supposed to end today and countries haven't made much progress on a new agreement to tackle climate change.

Developing nations want money from rich nations who are responsible for the most emissions.

We're still on track for dangerous global warming in less than 80 years,

unless countries can agree to make more drastic changes. At number two,

two, Nancy Pelosi announced yesterday

that she's stepping down as top Democrat in the House after two decades.

And with great confidence in our caucus, I will not seek re-election to Democratic

leadership in the next Congress.

For me, the hours come for a new generation

to lead the Democratic Caucus that I so deeply respect.

And I'm grateful that so many are ready and willing to shoulder this awesome responsibility.

Pelosi said that she'll still serve as a member of the House.

She made history as the first woman to become House Speaker and a lot of

experts say she redefined the role. Congressman Hakim Jeffries of New York is

so far the early favorite to replace her.

Number three, it looks like hundreds of workers at Twitter have decided to quit.
