We begin with the wildfire as well as the flash flooding and mudslide fears in California.

A major storm hitting the region right now.

Heavy rains and strong winds bringing the threat of floods and debris flows, especially in burn areas.

Chief National correspondent Matt Gutman is in Pacific Palisades with the latest. Good morning, Matt.

Hey, good morning, Rebecca. Nat Storm is expected to bring a fire hose of rain to Southern California.

The officials have already issued evacuation warnings for the burn scar areas and places like the Pacific Palisades where we are right now.

They've also put out about 13,000 feet of these

concrete K-Rails or hundreds of rescuers at the standby, but this storm did not come soon enough

to put out that wildfire you mentioned in central California. This morning rain and fire pummeling

parts of California. The packed fire forcing evacuations, at least 10 to 20 structures, damaged or destroyed so far,

and at least 3,400 acres burning near Mammoth Mountain.

It was so smoky on the highway right when I turned out, you couldn't even see the lanes.

Kay Richmond was one of those forced to leave her home.

She said she'd had less than 30 minutes to pack up.
