There were two explosions near the Kremlin citadel early Wednesday morning, but that's about

all anyone can agree on.

Russia accused Ukraine of sending drones to attack the Kremlin in an attempt to assassinate

Vladimir Putin, later adding that they believe Ukraine was acting on U.S. orders.

Ukraine accused the Russians of staging the explosions, to justify an expected large-scale

terrorist provocation in retaliation.

Ukrainian President Zelensky further stated that they're busy fighting on our own territory

and do not have enough weapons even for this.

A White House national security spokesperson says the U.S. neither encouraged or enabled Ukraine

to attack outside its borders, and Secretary of State Blinken added that he'd take anything

coming out of the Kremlin with a very large shaker of salt.
