Are we ever getting a commission on the January 6th insurrection?

As of this recording, it appears that there are not enough Republican senators who are

willing to vote yes on the bill that would create a bipartisan commission.

Mitch McConnell reportedly asked the Republican senators to vote against the commission

as a personal favor, and when asked if he would ever reconsider his position on the

filibuster, Senator Joe Manchin said, quote, I'm not ready to destroy our government, no.

So basically he's saying that looking into the people who wanted to destroy our government,

would destroy our government?

According to reporting in the New York Times, two new scientific studies are showing that

immunity to the coronavirus lasts a year, and possibly a lifetime, and that it improves

over time.

These two studies examined individuals who were infected with COVID over a year ago, and

suggest that most people who have recovered from COVID-19 and then were vaccinated likely

will not need booster shots, but people who were vaccinated but never infected may need

booster shots.

Egypt has reportedly invited Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas to Cairo for a summit.
