0:28.5	Tomorrow, Saturday, July 16th will be the first day the National 988 Mental Health Crisis Hotline goes live nationwide.
0:37.7	The hotline is designed to provide 24-7 free and confidential emotional support across the country for people experiencing mental health distress.
0:47.3	988 will send people to what used to be called the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to connect the person in a mental health crisis
0:54.9	with a mental health professional trained specifically for emergency situations.
0:59.7	The original hotline number, 1-800-273-8255, is still operational today for anyone in a crisis
1:07.8	and will remain available even after the 988 number launches tomorrow.
1:13.1	988 will also be available to text as well as call.
1:16.7	Both options will connect you with the same type of trained assistance.
