The first March for Life since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade is happening today,

and aggressive new guidelines to end childhood obesity. That's some of what we'll get to on the seven from the

Washington Post. I'm Christina Quinn. It's Friday, January 20th. Let's get you caught up

with today's seven stories. First up, the head of the CIA had a secret meeting with Ukraine's president.

The post reported that William Burns traveled to Kyiv last week to share U.S. intelligence with Volodomir Zelensky about Russia's next steps in Ukraine.

Now this high-level visit comes at a critical point in the war.

Ukraine is getting ready for a major counter-offensive while Russia is

attacking the eastern city of Bachmut. Military analysts expect that an uptick in

fighting this spring could determine the war worst trajectory. At number two, the 50th March for Life will be held today in Washington, D.C.

The event began as an annual abortion protest held right around the anniversary of the Supreme Court's 1973 Roe vuey

decision. Today's March for Life is the first since the Supreme Court struck down that decision,

which got rid of the constitutional right to an abortion.

That has shifted the focus of anti-abortion protesters away from the court to Congress.

They're changing the route of the march to go past the US capital.

That's a nod to their calls for lawmakers

to pass a national abortion ban.

After Alec Baldwin will face charges and the fatal shooting that happened on the set of a movie in 2021.

That's our third story. Baldwin had been rehearsing a scene in New Mexico for a movie called Rust.

He fired a prop gun that had somehow been loaded with live ammo, killing cinematographer

Helena Hutchins.

Prosecutors announced yesterday that Baldwin and an onset armorer will be charged with two counts each of involuntary manslaughter.
