Hello and welcome to this week's edition of my Friday 5 podcast and I am super excited

today.

Yes, I really am because I'm bringing you the most riveting listen, which I am absolutely

sure you will find completely fascinating and engrossing as I did.

So I recently had the pleasure of meeting up in real life with Eleanor Mills, who is the

award-winning editor, journalist, writer and broadcaster.

Now she worked for the Sunday Times for 23 years as its editorial director.

She was editor of the Sunday Times magazine, best-selling award-winning editor at that.

She was a columnist and interviewer interrogating everyone from Sheryl Sandberg to Theresa May

and she is a fierce advocate of women in the industry and was chair of women in journalism

between 2014 and 2021.

Now she is working on her first novel and has launched a very exciting platform for mid-life

women called Noon and she believes mid-life is the age of opportunity and she set up the

online community to help women embrace their next act, acknowledging that change is difficult

but it can also be energising and exciting.

Well, we have heaps to get through in today's interview, we'll be learning more about Eleanor's

mid-life philosophy and the personal experiences that shape her work at Noon.

And those that heard the fascinating episode I recorded recently with Professor David

Nutt will also be pleased to hear that we are returning to the topic of magic mushrooms

and the role that psychedelics may one day play in mental health treatments.

Now Eleanor has been out to Jamaica to try these mushrooms in a therapeutic setting for herself

and she has a fascinating tale or two to tell about her experiences.
