Hello and welcome to the Friday 5 a quick update on a few things from the world of well-being that have caught my eye this week and in a week when we are leading up to being a let out of a lockdown, fingers crossed for the most part.

that seems to be affecting more midlife women, so could there be a hormone connection? One of our favorite experts here at Lizzo Wellbeing,

Dr Louise Newsom certainly thinks so.

And she recently conducted a study

as part of her research organisation, Newson Health,

and she was able to analyse around 800 respondents to a simple questionnaire that were sent out to those suffering from long COVID and the results

confirmed her thoughts that long COVID is related to low hormone levels

notably estrogen and testosterone, which have so far been neglected with research

as well as the neglectful management options for these poor women.

Now what makes these findings so significant in today's world is 40% of

N.H. staff are menopausal. So these women are important to consider as

frontline health workers with exposure.

Estragen is an immune modulator and can reduce the cytokine storm,
