The four headlines you need to know.

If you're sick and tired of watching all of the terrible things happening in the Middle East right now,

there's possibly some good news on the horizon.

It's been 140 days since the terrible Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th. On that day, somewhere between 1,000 to 1,200 people

were killed by Hamas militants from innocent civilians to members of the Israeli military. And a little

over 200 people were taken hostage that day. Since then, the Israeli military has launched an all-out

attack on Palestinians in Gaza, killing around 30,000 Palestinians

with tens of thousands more injured or missing. But there is hope that a summit in Paris this

weekend could result in a real agreement for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. And that means

that the Israelis that are still being held hostage could finally be freed.

Now, remember, since this war started, the only real meaningful way to release hostages

was during a week-long ceasefire in November.

In that week, over 100 Israeli hostages were released.

Outside of that week, the Israeli military has only been able to rescue a total of four

hostages, and they accidentally killed three, meaning they've killed almost as many hostages

as they've been able to save.
