We'll start our show today with a couple of health updates.

I have some good news and some bad news. Here's the good news. While everyone is talking about how bad this year's flu season is, in King County and Washington State, this flu season is not as bad as last years so far.

That's looking at ER visits and hospitalizations.

In King County, 11 people have died of the flu so far this season, compared to 12 at this point last season.

Still, several area hospitals and clinics are requiring masks again, some just

for employees and some for patients as well. The bad news is, Snohomish County health officials

have declared a measles outbreak after confirming three new cases in children there. They say

the unvaccinated children were exposed to a family from

South Carolina that was recently in the area with two sick children of their own. Doctors say there

are three locations in Everett where people might have been exposed this month. You can learn more
