Being watched by the boss is where we start the news today.

Boeing has halted plans to put surveillance sensors in its Everett office, according to the Seattle Times.

The surveillance would have tracked employee movements to specifically find out how many people are in the office each day and who.

The newspaper says it requested info about the sensors and then learned Boeing was scrapping the plan.

One more note on the aerospace giant, Boeing now has 30 days to give an update in federal court on how it will move forward with the criminal case it's facing.

It's accused of fraud related to two deadly 737 max crashes overseas in 2018 and 2019. Boeing wanted to settle the case by paying

fines and changing how its safety is overseen, but yesterday a federal judge rejected that

settlement deal. If you're wondering whether Tanya Wu will seek another seat on the Seattle City

Council, get in line. Wu told KUOW, she's been getting that question a lot in the days since Councilmember Tammy Morales announced she's resigning. Katie Campbell reports.

Morales announced she was resigning on Wednesday. And barely 48 hours later, Wu said her supporters wanted to know whether

she'd run again. It's such a shock. I was not expecting this. I've only been out of council

for about a week and a half, and I am still processing everything. Wu emphasized the need for
