Starting with, President Trump has targeted a Seattle-based law firm specifically with a new executive order.

Scott Greenstone explains Trump's action against Perkins Cooey.

Trump stripped lawyers at the firm Perkins Cooui of their security clearance and access to government buildings.

Richard Painter, a former White House ethics lawyer for President Bush, called it entirely inappropriate.

I was shocked that the administration would go this far to target a law firm in an executive order. I've never, never seen this.

Perkins Cooey is headquartered in Seattle and works with Boeing and Microsoft, which are government

contractors. It also has a DC office. Two former lawyers at the firm were involved in opposition

research in 2016, investigating Trump's connections to Russia. A spokesperson for the firm said the order is patently unlawful, and they intend to challenge
