top stories. It's Friday, May 17th. A major breakthrough today over the pro-Palestinian protest

encampment at the University of Washington.

Protesters and school officials have reached an agreement, and the camp will be dismantled by Monday afternoon.

As part of the agreement, UW says it'll offer tuition waivers for some Palestinian students and create a process for addressing possible divestment.

Protester and UW student Juliet Majid says she's going to keep fighting for Palestinian liberation.

And I'm really excited to see how the solidarity in the community that we built has changed Udub in particular for the better.

For Palestinian law student Yusuf Ghazal, the agreement means hope.

For the first time in my life, my parents' life, my grandparents' life,

and every one of my ancestors' life, we finally see that people recognize what is happening

in Palestine and that there will be change to come.

And that change will be change to come.

And that change will come very quickly now that the people have woken up to what is happening over there.

Protesters have been camped out on the quad for more than two weeks.

Boeing's outgoing CEO gave his final address to investors at the company's annual

shareholders meeting today.

But it wasn't all goodbye. Dave Calhoun

was elected to the Boeing Board of Directors. After a string of challenges, including the deadly

crashes of two 737 Max Jets in 2018 and 2019, here was his message today.

We are using this period as difficult as it is to deliberately slow the system,

stabilize the supply chain, fortify our factory operations and position bowing to deliver with

predictability and quality and our customers demand for the long term. The company is facing a number of federal investigations stemming from those crashes
