The murder trial against Auburn police officer Jeff Nelson is underway in Kent today.

Arguments are centering around the officer's training and the testimony of some key witnesses.

It's an important test of a voter initiative that made it easier to prosecute police officers

A Seattle nonprofit will open Burean's first permanent supportive housing on Thursday.

Downtown Emergency Service Center's Bloomside has 95 units of affordable housing,

which will include services like on-site health care. City of Burian has been embroiled in a debate

about homelessness for months, culminating in a ban on outdoor camping within city limits last fall.

If you've got thoughts about Seattle's transportation levy, you can say your piece at a public

hearing on Tuesday.

The eight-year, $1.4 billion measure will be on November's ballot.

Another hot topic, the Parks Department, is asking for feedback on a proposal that would

split Denny Blaine Park in two.

It would enshrine the nude beach along the park's waterfront, but ask visitors to cover up closer to the road.
