Washington's Attorney General launched another lawsuit against the Trump administration today.

Nick Brown and 14 other states are suing President Trump over his declaration of an energy emergency at the start of his term.

The order allows agencies to bypass or reduce the environmental reviews required under the Clean Water and Endangered Species Acts when getting permits

for energy projects, Casey Sixkiller directs the Department of Ecology.

Declaring a national energy emergency when the United States is producing more oil and natural gas

than ever before doesn't reflect reality. And declaring an emergency to speed up permitting processes by

short-cutting environmental reviews is an abuse of authority. He says state agencies were

already issuing appropriate permits within the required timeframes before the president's order.

The lawsuit asks the court to declare the president's directive

illegal and to stop agencies from issuing emergency permits under the executive order.

Another lawsuit to tell you about now, Washington State may have missed the boat on federal funding

for electric vehicles. 17 states, including Washington, are suing the Trump administration to unfreeze a national
