The candidate filing deadline is at 5 p.m. today. This is for all county and

statewide positions and also city positions like Seattle mayor. Bruce Harrell is running again. So far,

he's drawn six challengers. The primary is August 5th. East Siders and transit fans, tomorrow's the big day. Sound Transits' two-line is expanding.

Two new stations open in Redmond, one in downtown and another at Marymore Park. Seattle Times

reports two-line ridership has been dropping since December. Transit officials are hopeful the

additional stops will appeal to Microsoft workers who live in
