Southwest Airlines looks like it's getting back on track.

Number one will be some good news for a lot of people. Southwest Airlines

said that flights will be almost back to normal today. Only a handful of flights have been canceled so far, compared with

about 2,500 yesterday. This is a sigh of relief for tens of thousands of

frustrated passengers trying to return home from the holidays.

A storm and a breakdown of the airline's internal technology caused the travel meltdown over the

past week, leading to over 15,000 cancel flights.

Number two, a house committee is

number two a house committee is expected to release Donald Trump's tax returns today.

This is happening after a years-long legal battle.

The former president broke with tradition by not making his returns public as a candidate and as president.

The information in his tax returns could help explain why.

The expected release is coming in the final days of Democratic control of the House.

A new session of Congress opens on Tuesday, and Republicans will be in the majority.

It looks like 2023 will begin with storms across the south. That's

story number three. Multiple storm systems are expected to hit the south

Central US in the days ahead.

This could bring flooding rains, damaging winds, and possibly some tornadoes.

The U.S. suffered 15 weather disasters that cost at least a billion dollars each this year.
