I'm not going to be here Monday on account of the holiday, but this one today starts right now.

And we always start with the top story. This one has been going on for a while, but it's getting bigger.

The death toll has risen to nine from that Listeria outbreak linked to

Contaminated Borshead Meets.

It's the biggest Listeria outbreak in the US since 2011. The CDC just updated

their numbers this week and in addition to those that have passed 57 people have

been hospitalized since this started back in July. As of now cases have been reported

across 18 states. Again, the CDC wants you to be aware of Borshead products.

Listeria can be especially dangerous for people with weakened immune systems,

pregnant women, and people over 65.

Okay, all right, on to sports. In basketball, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors

have reportedly reached a one-year 62.6 million dollar contract extension.

That'll keep him with Golden State through the

2026-27 season so he'll be a warrior for at least the next three seasons.
