Summary

Ephesians 6:16 It is not what is true that will help me; it is what I *believe* about that truth that will ultimately help me. Faith is the principle by which all believers are to live (Rom. 1:17). It is the only way by which to please God, and it is the only reliable evidence of what we claim is true.

But for now, we're right here in Ephesians 6 and verse number 16,

being soldiers of the Lord.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith, with this shield,

1:41.4

ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, flaming arrows,

1:48.8

is the way we would say that today, of the wicked. So a couple things. First of all, we see a

1:55.6

reiteration of the battle. We're fighting against the wicked. And the wicked is, make, make no mistake about it.

The devil does not like you. His forces are not trying to help you. Ultimately, he comes to

steal and to kill and to destroy. And regardless of what he promises you, regardless of what he

the kingdoms of the world that he shows you, regardless of how good it tastes or how appealing it looks, the devil is a liar.
