Hey friends, welcome back. We're in Matthew 18, and we're in a, wow, a very serious section

where Jesus is giving some strong language about the way we treat each other, the way we treat

the vulnerable, the little children is the context. And to just go back to where we were at the end of last episode, it says in

verse number six, who so shall offend one of these little ones to ensnare, to entrap, to place a

stumbling block in front of, which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck

and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. So Jesus places a high level of

accountability on the way we treat people that are vulnerable, new believers, young children.

It says in verse number seven, woe unto the world because of offenses.

We live in a sin-cursed world. We live in a world where the headlines are becoming more and more

sorted and crazy and things that you can't even imagine are happening to seemingly innocent people

around the world.

Think about child abuse or sex trafficking and just these horrendous things.

And the Bible says, woe unto the world because of these things.

It must needs be that offenses come.

I mean, in a sin-cursed world,

these are things that, unfortunately, we have to expect. A sin brings these things. A sin-cursed world implodes upon itself. But then Jesus says, but woe unto that man by whom the offense
