Hey, friends, so glad you joined us for today's episode as we continue our study of the book of Matthew.

And we've been looking and exploring the theme of Jesus is king.

And what a comforting thought that is, because kingship means authority and power and glory

and control.

And it's a wonderful thing when you yield control to Jesus in your life.

And even though Jesus has not physically set up his kingdom,

that day will come, we call that the millennial reign of Jesus, we can still enjoy the kingdom even

in our life right now. In this sense, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That will be a characteristic

of the future kingdom, but that can be a characteristic of my life today. So I can live a kingdom life

even now by kingdom rules as I live the Matthew 5 life, as I live under the control and auspices of the Lord Jesus

Christ. So hope that your testimony today. Look at verse number one of Matthew 18, where it says

at the same time came the disciples unto Jesus saying,

who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? So obviously Jesus has been teaching a lot about

the kingdom and what the kingdom looks like and how his kingdom is really to be distinguished from the kingdoms of

this world. And yet, they're really not getting it. And I alluded to this last episode a bit.

They're really not seeing it. They think about kingdom. They think about authority structure.
