And today we are again talking about the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.

We have a few content warnings before we start this episode.

In this episode, we'll be talking about ableism and disability, as well as injury, surgery

and amputation, as well as discussions of suicide.

We'll also discuss instances of self-harm.

The episode also includes discussion of misogyny and queer phobia, both during

Frida's life and by modern scholars. The episode will also contain brief mentions of political

assassination, imprisonment, Stalin and the atrocities perpetrated by him, as well as mentions of

racism, specifically against Mexican indigenous indigenous peoples and of drug addiction,

alcoholism and domestic violence. There is also non-explicit discussions of sex and one instance

of a mild swear in a quote. Also, unfortunately, we are being circled by helicopters for some
