I'm having to produce this show solo today and have no fucking idea what I'm doing. It's entirely possible

none of you will ever even hear this if I press the wrong button or something. So

here's to hoping I don't make any mistakes. Speaking of mistakes, so last week, I was making fun of these

colored Christmas trees, the ones that are painted, pink, purple, ridiculous colors that no

serious person should have in their home, abominations. Well, I'm being forced to eat some

crow here, because according to the internet, it turns out,

Christmas trees are often painted or sprayed with a colorant to enhance their appearance and

protect the needles.

According to Agriculture.com, my go-to website for all things agriculture, it's not possible to control the natural color of a Christmas tree so colorants are often used. It says Ralph Nilsson is the former owner of a Christmas tree products company in Tacoma, Washington, and he says in the fall,

chlorophyll, otherwise known as borophyll, starts to break down, which can cause foliage to discolor.

It says tree needles may turn a different shade of green or even a yellowish color. This is very common in all

varieties of pines. So to improve marketability and provide the Christmas green color that people
