And well, yesterday was a busy one.

We had splashes galore. We had movement. We had things that we weren't expecting. We had the

music city becoming hockey city and plenty more. It was a very busy day in free agency as the free agency window opened up.

And it was the Nashville Predators, the big winners of the day in a lot of cases.

They add Stephen Stamcoast and Jonathan Marcia.

So Brady Shea, they also bring in backup goaltender Scott Wedgwood and they take three of the top three agents on the board and and really they've made the central division so much more intriguing.

We look at the Colorado Avalanche, the Winnipeg Jets.

We look at the Dallas Stars and now you can throw the Nashville Predators directly into that mix for teams that are willing to make a push and push the chips in when it comes to spending and free agency.

Tampa Bay, while they move on from Stephen Stamcoast, they bring in Jake Gensel.

Victor Hedman signs a four-year extension at $8 million per season.

The defending cup champions, they keep Sam Reinhart,

but they lose Brandon Montour, which is a big part of their back end,

who goes to Seattle along with another former Stanley Cup champion

in Chandler Stevenson and Edmonton, they bring the band back together, at least most of it,

with the addition, bringing in and keeping Adam Henrique, Connor Brown, Matias Yanmark and Corey Perry,

while they also add Victor Arvinsonon and Jeff Skinner to the forward

group. That forward group looks a lot better with those two acquisitions. They did, however,
