Today we're talking to director Dan Dewsbury and former solicitor Leo Goatley. In 1994, a child

abuse investigation led to a shocking allegation. The daughter of Fred and Rose West had been

buried in their garden. And as authorities dug up the patio,

they made a grisly discovery, even more bodies in the backyard and the basement. The investigation

revealed a troubling history of abduction, abuse, and murder. The Netflix documentary series,

Fred and Rose West, a British horror story, looks back on the crime that shook

the UK. It follows the couple's decades of deadly cruelty and takes viewers inside the investigations

with newly obtained audio recordings. It also examines the West themselves and questions why

they would turn their home into a house of horrors.

But it was also clear that understanding the relationship between Frederick and Rosemary West

would be essential to this whole case.
