From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. Well at Kansas City chiefs did it they got underneath

the salary cow for the start of the new year and a lot of things are about to change.

That's not the only thing that's changing.

We're going to go over a couple of things, but the Chiefs did it by making a couple of moves

that allow them to be in compliance for the start of the new year and that is the new year by the NFL standards which did kick off this afternoon a couple of hours ago as we see this

and we're going to talk in the next segment

about Frank Clark and how he got there what it did to get there and what it means

overall in terms of how they move forward but there are other things around the league going

on that are of note that changed the way that the chiefs have to kind of build

themselves as they look to restructure and get back to another Super Bowl. An interesting one is the

path to the Super Bowl has very much changed. It is likely that the path through

the New England is no more.

The New England Patriots are gonna be starting

over at the quarterback position.

I don't know exactly which direction they're going to go.

But Tom Brady has now become a member of the Tampa Bay

Buccaneers, a team that resides still in the same time zone, and only a few hours flight from where his family lives so I think I can understand that.

A little bit surprised that that's the way it ended up.

But the fact that Tom Brady has now left the AF AFC has got to be a boon for what Kansas City Chiefs think of their chances and how they can control the road to the Super Bowl for the next few years if not longer.

And that is a significant piece of news and I think the pairing there with Tom Brady

and B. A is a little bit interesting.
