Greetings, parish, open some retrogrades.

Pope Francis has condemned the serious sin of proselytism, and in so doing, he has no explanation

for the vocations crisis in the Roman Catholic Church.

That's one of the many horrors.

It's an intellectual horror, because how can he not see the correlation between these two things

of today's Vatican and today's story.

In addition to this story of Francis for, I think, the fourth time that I've recounted,

condemning the Great Commission go out and convert all the world in Matthews Gospel, chapter 18, 19.

Also, there are these little stories that get a little more attenuated in the strength of that

narrative by which we're told them.

One is he's dropping F-bombs, say some seminarians at an audience they had with

them, which is off-putting. I'm not a Puritan when it comes to language, but the Holy Father

dropping F-bomb seems a little weird, particularly in an ecclesial type setting. Also, he says to

them, same group of seminarians, absolve everyone,

even if they say they're not sorry. Well, that's the corollary of Amorce Litizia, right? A non-repentant

adulterer, that is someone who gets a divorce. Divorce is not allowed to you Catholics, to us Catholics, and wants to keep having sex with someone new,

allow them to get communion by allowing them to get confession.

That's number two.

And thirdly, you're ready for this other extra attenuated bit of Romish gossip that I wish I could say I fully disbelieved. I don't know where

I come out on it. Thirdly, there's hearsay evidence. It's hearsay that Francis might have even

ordered the Pell accusation from three and a half years ago. The faulty charges against Pell. That's hearsay. And it's very,

very attenuated, but I wish that I could completely dismiss it on the character of the Pontiff.
