| 0:07.2 | Hello and welcome to water cooler. |
| 0:12.1 | Yeah, you know. |
| 0:16.9 | Chris isn't here. |
| 0:17.9 | It's so quiet. |
| 0:18.7 | Wouldn't it be great if the show just started and Chris just started talking? That would have been the real move here. But, |
| 0:24.4 | alas, Chris Loxamana is not with us at the moment, but he will be with us before the show is out. |
| 0:30.4 | I, Gary, this is a show where I, Gary Smith, hang out with my Corolla buds of yesteryear and just generally my buds with me today all the way in Long Beach, California. It's |
| 0:38.2 | Kailin Bean. What's going on? I don't know. You tell me. What were you just staring off and had |
| 0:44.3 | that awkward pause for it where you didn't acknowledge me? No, I was fixing my microphone, |
| 0:50.1 | which is upside down at the moment. So to increase my hearing, I had to look under. That happened. Okay. Well, there's a lot to unpack there. And I think we'll have to get to it after I introduce the other person who is with me today, with me today all the way in Austin, Texas. It's Matt Fondolier. Hey, brother. Hey, brother. How are you? I'm doing really good, man. |
| 1:10.9 | I'm excited to talk to you guys. |
| 1:12.1 | Is your mic right set up? I think so. I'm not sure how one would go one upside down, to be totally honest. I attached you to this stand, this arm that you see it on about three years ago, and it's never been upside down ever once in my entire life. So, Kaelin, explain yourself, boy. Well, let me first just say, I am very jelly of your setup. |
| 1:10.7 | I wish I had something jelly of your setup. |
| 1:29.9 | I wish I had something like that going on. |
| 1:31.8 | But I have this stand that Chris gave me on, like, my last day at Krola Digital. |
| 1:38.5 | God, even your stands are owned by somebody else? |
| 1:41.8 | Yeah, Chris gave it to me. |
| 1:44.0 | I think he gave me the microphone, too. He gave me both of them. Wow. And what percentage of the things do you interact with on a day-to-day basis would you say you've had any part in paying for? Aside from work stuff, which actually this might be the exception, like pretty much, pretty much zero. I mean, all my clothes I get for free, all my subscriptions. Well, you got all your clothes for free 15 years ago. Yeah, it's, it's mostly, yeah, if I don't have to pay for, like, why, look, I'm not hating on you. I'm, yes, we make light of it and we make jokes, but you're really killing the game. I spend money like a fucking lunatic and I'm always, it's not a fun way to live. So I think that you're doing it right. I'm jealous, but yeah, so is this like... With the free stuff comes annoyances like this microphone stand. That Chris was so nice enough to donate to me, but I have to break it down and set it back up every single time I do a podcast. And it's almost broken at this point. Like it takes me like five minutes just to screw in this top piece because it doesn't screw in, right? But it's even more embarrassing. The setting it up upside down was actually a very easy fix. And I could probably just because it just. Yeah, you put it right side up oh look at this oh he's |
