Summary

The nationwide debate over the future of our elections has been bitter ever since the 2020 election. But the issue came to a boiling point this week as Texas Democrats fled to Washington, DC in an effort to prevent the state's House of Representatives from passing sweeping voting reforms. For months, Republicans say their effort to reform how and when people cast their ballot are necessary to restore confidence in our elections. Democrats say the laws are unnecessary, 'racist' and suppressive. Earlier this week, Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw joined the FOX News Rundown to discuss what was in the Texas bill and similar voting laws around the country. He called many of these contested bills 'boring,' 'common sense' and accused the Democrats and President Biden of 'lying' about what the new rules would actually do.
