Here's your host, Josh Palm, and Dan, we're back with another foul Friday quick tip of the week.

This week we're going to talk about an issue that we tend to talk about a lot on the show, but unfortunately we see a lot of stories this time of year, and unfortunately we've seen some stories recently in the news here.

And that's dealing with hunting safely this time of year. When you're talking with high water, fast moving

water, cold temperatures.

It's a very, very dangerous situation and we want to make sure that you guys are prepared as possible

to handle the situations.

So today we're going to talk a little bit about safety and how to keep yourself safe

when you're out on the water in the late time of the year.

The first thing that I would say about this is look at the weather ahead of time.

And of course the weather

changes all the time but if you can see that there's going to be high winds or

dangerous situations you know sometimes one of the most important decisions that you can make as a duck hunter is a decision to not hunt because the situation is not going to be safe.

So definitely check out the information that's available to you before you get out on the hunt.

But some of the things that you can do while you're get out on the hunt.

But some of the things that you can do while you're actually in the field

and you're on your way to the blind

or to your designated hunting location is always wear a life jacket.

There is absolutely no reason why this isn't an

absolute staple for every single person out there. There's literally no excuse for

not wearing a life jacket. Another thing you may want to consider is putting your waiters on once

you get to the blind. You know when you're riding in the boat, should you fall in the water?
