Did you make it through the 4th of July?

Made it through, lit off a bunch of firecrackers.

And then on our way home yesterday, we got rerouted to Nebraska and sat on the tarmac in the Scotts Bluff, Nebraska,

which is like an airfield that doesn't even

have an airport while there were storms in Denver. And so, what time did you fly in? We are we were,

we were supposed to land at like 4.30 and we ended up landing at like almost seven, which is a gamble,

like afternoon travel. That's a gamble. And I knew I was taking a gamble. Cody, the weather guy would be like, you asked for it. I did. But here's what I, what I assumed would happen. And I like was that we would wait it out in Madison. And then even if we got our flight got canceled, it would have been like, okay, whatever, you know, we'll just stay the night at the grandparents' house again.

Like, no, my in-laws, like, no big deal. We'll get out Sunday morning. Like, honestly, that would have been fine. And when we took off, I was like, great, we're golden. And they were like, they came on the speaker and they're like, hey, they're going to, they have us in a holding pattern because there's some lightning in the area. And then what happened was we started to get low on fuel.

refuel. So anyway, that's never happened to me before getting diverted. Actually, I've been diverted

one other time for snow purposes. And we ended up having to land in like Colorado Springs or something instead of Denver. But anyway, that was, it just was, you know, like it's supposed to be of just a quick, little two and a half hour flight. We ended up being on the plane for like almost six hours. So. Wait, you were on the plane for six hours. Yeah. Yeah. Because you had to sit there while you're right. Because we like landed in because we first of all you know like we're in a

holding pattern for probably a good 30ish minutes and then we landed in Nebraska and then honestly

the time on the tarmac there was could have been so much worse than it was like the air

conditioning was running the screens were still on like whatever we had snacks the kids are old enough thankfully at this point

that they just like kept watching their screens and whatever they got a little bit restless but not

too bad we were on the ground for probably like an hour and a half and then yeah by the time we got

back to Denver i was worried though because last week or at some point in the past few weeks my friend Jess went to had to go to the airport

to pick up her daughter from like a school trip that she had been on and the plane landed but then

they sat on the tarmac for two plus hours because they're I don't know exactly what the

regulations are but if there's lightning within a certain proximity of the airport then they don't

let the ground crews go outside. Right. And so they were sitting on the tarmac just waiting
