In judges chapter 6, Israel had forgotten their God and the victory that he'd already given them,

so God raised up an unlikely hero named Gideon

to fight for his people. In part one of today's message we learned that Gideon

lived in fear until he took his eyes off the enemy and fixed them on God.

As Christians, we have something far better than Gideon had.

The word of God and the Holy Spirit abiding in us.
