Live from Southern California, this is the Jim Rome show.

I don't care if you're American.

I don't care if you're Canadian.

I don't care if you're a hockey fan.

I don't care if you're even a sports fan.

If you've got a set of eyes and a pulse and you watch the game last night, I have one

question, were you not entertained? I said it. Nobody likes to I told you so, but I told you so.

I said it throughout the show yesterday. Hockey is incredible. And if you don't think so,

you probably have never experienced the sport or the passion or the people who play it or

coach it or involved in it. It's an incredible sport with an incredible culture, an incredible ethos. This is what I spent the entire

show yesterday. In fact, really many years, but the entire show yesterday, because I knew what

was coming. It's why I spent the entire program yesterday trying to explain to those of you

who don't get it or maybe we're not going to watch it.

I tried to explain what that sport's about and how the guys who play that sport and the

gals are different. I finally just said, you know what? It's really hard to explain to the

uninitiated and especially if you don't watch the game or know the game or have an open

mind to the game.

So do me one favor. If you watch just one hockey game in your entire life, watch this one,

then you'll understand what I'm saying. And I bet not one of you will say, hey, Rome,

you know what, I did what you said. I listened to you.

I watch that game.

I still don't get it.
