In medical astrology, the Sun represents the gravitational center of the psyche and of the body. Just as the planets orbit the Sun, so too does our physiology organize itself around a central core of vitality, expressed through the heart, the circulation of blood, and the distribution of warmth throughout our organism.

0:32.6	as having a strong correlation to the archetype of the sun based on some of our correlations
0:41.4	to some of the medical astrology associations of the sun and it's governing sign in the zodiac
0:50.6	Leo. Now, I like talking about the sun because, you know, it is the, it is the center of our
1:00.2	solar system and as such is the center of our psyche. In the alchemical tradition and we could say
1:10.4	in the astrological tradition as well, the
1:13.8	structure of the solar system, the way in which, you know, the universe in which we reside
1:21.6	is ordered has a meaning to it, right? In the alchemical tradition, everything is seen to have meaning from,
1:29.1	you know, the way a plant grows to the nature of a mineral or a metal. The qualities and
1:35.3	characteristics of nature are reflective of the qualities and characteristics of the human
1:42.1	organism down here in the terrestrial realm.
1:46.4	But according to alchemy, the same is true of the celestial realm, right?
1:51.7	The above, the heavens, that the structure of the way our creation is, that the structure of that solar system is reflective of the structure
2:04.1	of our own psyche.
2:05.8	And the sun being at the center of our solar system, being that which everything orientes
2:15.3	around, right?
2:16.7	It is the gravitational center of everything, right? All the
2:21.8	planets orbit around the sun as the center of the system. So too is in the nature of our psyche.
2:30.0	And so the sun really represents the gravitational center of the psyche.
2:36.6	It is in many ways we can think of it as our essence.
2:40.3	It is the core of our being.
