Hello my friends I am thankful you are joining me again for the morning mindset.

My name is Carrie Green. I am a retired pastor who really has no interest in

retiring.

I just love teaching the word of God,

and I feel he has called me to do this during this season.

I don't know how long that's going to be,

but I'm enjoying the ride while I'm on it. Friends, I hope that you are doing well today. It's a

dangerous world we live in. There are a lot of pitfalls and risks out there with this

virus going around and I'm hopeful that things are

turning in a good direction. I'm prayerful that that's happening and what I want to

talk to you today about is continuing along this theme of learning what it means to fear the Lord and this concern that we have as human beings about our lives. It's a very valid concern. Human life is

valuable. In the Old Testament, it was so valuable. God put a restriction in

place against things like murder and it was all based on the

value of human life but let's be clear on where human life derives its value from.

And that is the fact that we are made created in the image of God.

You see, our value as human beings is not just some intrinsic thing that comes from being a human.

It goes deeper than that.

It goes to the aspect of what does it mean to be human?

And the answer, biblically speaking, is that we are made in the image of God.

We are made to be his representatives here on the planet.

We are made to image him, to reflect him,

to show him in the way that we function as human beings.
