And I'm Sarah Stone Street. We're so glad you're here.

Welcome back to the Strong Women Podcasts, and Erin and I are going to talk about our conversation with Kathy Cook.

0:25.9

Kathy has already been on the podcast.

0:28.2

Like, this is her third time, right, Aaron?

0:31.5

And she said, maybe I should just be a frequent guest.

0:35.0

And we were like, sure, let's do that because we just love Kathy

0:38.0

and we're so grateful for all the work that she does, both for kids and for us. And like we said

magnified. I would encourage you all to listen, no matter what season of life that you're in,

1:37.7

to our conversation with Kathy, because I think you'll pick up some things that will be

1:41.7

helpful in your own life and in the way you interact with other people. But just to start us off, I'm going to read a quote. Kids aren't

1:50.2

as fragile as we tend to think. This is from her book, Kathy's book. They are born with strengths

1:57.0

and abilities to cope with adversity, learn from their mistakes, and mature into

2:03.5

responsible, competent adults. And sometimes I think we forget that. We don't have to

2:11.8

protect them from everything because we know we can't. And that God has gifted them with the ability to mature through hardship.
