| 0:00.0 | Okay, well, welcome to the Jim Acosta show. It's another day that ends in why in the Trump cover-up of Epstein Gate. Perhaps he should send the National Guard to find the Epstein files instead of into Washington, D.C. Last night, yours truly snapped a few picks of the Guard members down on the National Mall. They were enjoying a lovely summer evening in Washington, a little warm, but otherwise, extremely safe on the national mall. |
| 0:24.6 | Other social media videos have captured federal agents with the FBI and the DEA walking around Georgetown. |
| 0:30.6 | Earth to the White House, the crime is not down on the mall and in Georgetown. |
| 0:35.2 | But of course, this isn't about helping the people of Washington, D.C. |
| 0:38.0 | It's about Trump's creeping authoritarianism, but we are not taking the bait. We are here to find out |
| 0:42.9 | what happened to the Epstein file. So joining me on the program as Sky Pyraman, who leads |
| 0:48.1 | a democracy forward, a pro-democracy group that is suing the Trump administration for |
| 0:53.2 | records related to the Epstein case. |

| 1:09.5 | the Kennedy honors. It's desperation. And |
| 1:12.4 | and it's, it's all about hiding the ball. It's all about hiding the Epstein files. Tell us about |
| 1:18.8 | this lawsuit and why it's so important. Thank you for having me on. Our lawsuit is focused on the |
| 1:25.5 | cover up. We are seeking communications between the White House, |
| 1:29.1 | between the White House press office and the Department of Justice and the FBI, and you might |
| 1:33.6 | say, well, there shouldn't be communications between the White House and the Department of Justice |
| 1:38.4 | and the FBI. The DOJ and the FBI are supposed to be independent agencies that are, you know, |
| 1:43.7 | operating with some level of |
| 1:44.8 | independence and obligation to the American people. But this is unfortunately an administration that |
| 1:49.9 | has politicized those institutions. And, you know, we have sought records to understand what the |
| 1:56.2 | communications are. What are they hiding? What type of PR stunt are they trying to pull off here? And we saw it the |
| 2:05.9 | communications. The government did not timely respond. And so we filed our lawsuit on Friday. |
