0:00.0 | Hey everybody Rob now we're here and today we're going to be looking at forecast for Tesla's |
0:11.3 | first quarter delivery and production report, which we should get tomorrow Saturday. |
0:14.6 | I'll plan on doing a live stream when we do get those numbers but as usual I think it's |
0:18.0 | helpful to go through these forecasts to kind of understand the context when we do receive |
0:21.3 | those. |
0:22.3 | And today we'll also take a quick look at some other automakers which have started to |
0:24.9 | report their US sales for Q1. |
0:27.5 | Click at the stock not a whole lot to report another pretty low volume day, Tesla up |
0:30.9 | two thirds of a percent to one thousand eighty four dollars fifty nine cents to close |
0:34.1 | the week, the NASDAQ on the day was up three tenths of a percent. |
0:37.1 | Alright we're going to start off with looking at the forecast for Q1 delivery and production |

0:48.0 | numbers so we're not going to go quite as detailed as we usually do. |
0:51.0 | There are a few reasons I say that but they all kind of stem from the same basic concept |
0:54.7 | of generally when we're going through these we use it to inform what's going to happen |
0:58.6 | in future quarters and future years based on the production rates that we're seeing. |
1:02.6 | No one individual quarter is all that important but the trajectory that we end up seeing is |
1:07.3 | that's a big part of why we care so much more about production than the delivery number |
1:11.1 | because that gives us a better clue at what's going to happen going forward. |
1:14.3 | So what we're actually able to learn here in terms of what that trajectory is going to |
1:17.6 | look like from Q1 is pretty limited. |
