I heard this story from my mother.

When she was in junior high, Kokudi-san was all the rage.

My mother had also tried it when she was at school, but nothing scary had ever happened.

But she did say that she saw something strange once.

My mother wasn't a member of any school clubs, so after school she stayed behind with her friends

until late.

On this day, she was also chatting when someone came running into the classroom.

It was another of her friends.

There's something weird going on in the next class, she said.

My mum and her friend were curious, so they left the room to go see, and were greeted

with a strange sight.

The door to the classroom was closed, and although it had a glass section, it was frosted

glass, so they couldn't see inside very well.

Then several boys suddenly left the room, one by one, making their way to the taps to

wash their hands.

Not a single one of them said anything.
