and I'm joined once again by my good friend of many years as well as our vice president Rob Corzine.

Welcome, Rob. Good to be here as always.

Hey, so we have set aside some time to talk about a particular issue of a journal that ran for

12 years, 12 volumes.

It was entitled, Letter and Spirit, a journal of Catholic biblical theology,

one volume per year, but one volume really stands out, and that was volume six that came out way

back in 2010. And we have just recently reprinted that

volume and I want to talk about it because of its unique importance but before I do Rob I want to talk a little bit about this series of volumes called

Letter and Spirit, a journal of Catholic biblical theology.

I mean, how would you describe that series? I mean it really is unique.

We were looking to get the best scholarship but not the most academic. Academic writing is often academics writing to each other in

language that only they understand about questions that are maybe sometimes important but often really small and what we did here was each issue deals with a single theme and we sat down and we would think what is the what do we want to deal with in this

one and then we would just brainstorm who's the dream team if we could possibly

get them and you would pull out your cell phone and by the time we were done

with that first meeting we'd have half the issue filled.

So it was it was peer reviewed in the sense that it was all by invitation only and it was top scholarship, but where the rubber meets the road so that it's
