Our scriptural text today comes from a very familiar passage of Scripture Romans chapter 8 and verse 28.

In the new living translation of the scripture, notice these words,

and we know, not we think, not we hope.

And we know that God causes everything, not a few things, not one or two things, but all things,

everything to work together for the good of those who love God. How many folks love God?

And are called according to his purpose for them. And so I'm speaking

today simply from the subject for my good, for my good, for my good. Before this is decreed that certain things that all things work together

for our good, before that happens, you will notice the few verses because you don't just snatch a

verse out of context. There's a pretext, then there's a text, and then there's a

post text. And all of those put together give us the context. And so the context of this, being able

to say in all things, work together for the good of them that love God and who are the called

according to his purpose, the context of that is given to us

by the couple of verses that preceded that, that talked about how the same spirit, the Holy Spirit,

helps us in our infirmities. And he begins to pray through us with groanings which cannot be uttered in

articulate speech but there are groanings which the lord himself understands and how the holy spirit

makes intercession for us before the throne of God according to the will of God. So that means

that you've got secret power on high, praying, making intercession. He ever lives to make

intercession for the saints. And then in this context, because the Holy Ghost is praying for you,

is praying for me according to the will of God, and under that pretense, then we come to Romans

828, and we know that all things is not just a happenstance or just because you are feeling lucky.

This is because God has had the ministry of the Holy Spirit praying for you, praying for me
